The RX affordability and availability problems faced by the average Joe and Jane in Alabama and the other 49 states can be traced directly back to the loss of democratic ideals of one party in particular in national and local affairs. Unless and until this particular party reforms itself by shedding its undemocratic affection for idol worship of an incompetent charlatan and returns itself to the business of insuring individual liberties over corporate and individual greed- the ideals our Founding Fathers enshrined in our Constitution - the PBM problem will never be solved. There is just too much money in it. Voting intelligently is the solution.
That gag order sounds positively un-American, or what we used to be. I wish these good people well, but hope they remember not to vote for people like Trump who couldn’t care less about average Americans.
Thank you so much for shedding light on these bad practices in healthcare.
I’ve been battling with PBMs for YEARS. Congress engages in performative nonsense every few years and then proceeds to do absolutely nothing to regulate them, let alone close them down for good. We don’t need them.
Teddy Roosevelt had the answer over a century ago: Walk Softly And Carry A Big Stick (to beat the crap out of the oligarchs). TR set the pace but he wasn't able to stop the billionaires, who mastered the successive Industrial Revolutions and won World War One a few years later. Where is that big stick now when we need it more than ever? Oh, Donald Dump ate it.
That is why his diapers are full of crapioca mixed with splinters. Looks like tapioca with toot-pix. Let's flush the toilet and take our country back NOW!
