The title of Mary Trump's book about her uncle comes to mind: "Too much, and never enough." Unchecked and under-regulated greed is destroying any faith in the so-called Rule of Law in this country. These "executives" should be cooling their heels behind bars. Corporate crimes are running rampant and there seems to be little more than a slap on the wrist (if even that), for the vast majority of these inside-traders and corporate raiders.

And meanwhile, they are robbing people of any affordable Healthcare, as well - what a bunch of ghoulish soulless vultures.

The truth will out, even for United Health Care, the worse of them all. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLAN OR ALLOW YOUR PARENTS TO DO SO. YOU WILL BE SORRY. m Join Be a Hero to try to expose , control, and hopefully eliminate these plans that kill around 10,000 people a year and cause misery and financial ruin for many. many more.

I second the remarks of Laura Avant. Medicare (dis) Advantage needs to be eradicated and the corporate CEOs held criminally accountable for involuntary Murder of so many Americans.

What happens next with United Health Care. Sounds to me like the Executives are preparing golden parachutes for this debacle, using US Taxpayers' money to enrich the CEO and others implicated in this rip-off of Public funds and disservice to policy holders. How shameless this gross Capitalism is. HealthCare is a Human Right that is recognized by most civil countries, with the exception of the United States of America. As a policy holder of a Medicare (dis)Advantage Policy, I am sick to death with the exploitation of patients and the greed and avarice of the private insurers. Seriously, this cannot continue. These Private conglomerate insurers are monopolists and they need to be divested of their businesses. If no changes to Medicare (dis) Advantage are properly enacted, we need to move immediately to a single-payer system that would bring us into real competition with genuine Best-In-Class global Healthcare providers. Enough is enough. Mr. Biden, talk is cheap, and you've been doing a lot of it. Action is needed NOW!!!

Is the former CEO in prison? I DOUBT IT! Corruption at the highest level. The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer, and the middle-class is all but gone. We can't support this country and shouldn't have to.

This is criminal. The SEC should take action and the DOJ should take action. However, I won’t hold my breath.

Right. Nobody is penalized that deserves it- guess they pay their way out of it.

Are there any good actors in healthcare insurance? (Honest question... not being sarcastic)

ChangeHealthcare’s “switch” is a pass through for 80% of US claims/Rxs/denials/ prior authorizations/payments for ALL the insurers. That’s our Aetna/BlueCrossCigna/Humana, as well as UHG itself.

A tidy little ancillary business for UHG that is hugely profitable and augments their other profit centers. It allows UHG to screw its competitors as well as patients and doctors.

UHGs monopoly is the gate that 80% of all our healthcare stuff has to pass through for filing, meds and payment.

UHG did 3 months of hand flapping and excuses. Meanwhile they acquired private practices going under, going under in large part because 80% of their payments were interrupted. Another tidy little win for UHG. Small offices still haven’t gotten paid. It’s a clusterfuck of huge dimensions.

Now they want docs to have to inform patients of the security breach of their personal information. This information includes health data, SS numbers, credit card numbers and addresses.

Americans should be aware that our health care economy is endstage capitalism at its finest: a fixed market where everyone is a customer. These are the corporations that lobby our legislators and gift our judiciary.

I’ve worked my whole career for a single payor system. I don’t want that single payor to be United Health Group.

Hang on everyone. I'm no fan of how UHG or Optum operates (its personal for me as they are denying every migraine drug for my kid now), but it is likely these were pre-planned scheduled sales. Almost every C Suite executives of a public company generally sells as part of a filing with the SEC that sells x amount each quarter or year on specified dates. If they didn't do that then yes they will be in big trouble. They should be in trouble for a lot of other behavior like monopoly pricing, probably some level of fraud in how they run the PBM to manage the MLR at the plans etc.
