Disagree. What we should do is break up these big insurance companies in lieu of a fully automated process with no coding, no adjudication and built in patient education; a holistic approach to the problem, instead of big business dictating prices and care.

Now that you have done a wonderful way of scaring the senior population, understand that NO political party has endorsed this approach. The Republicans have denied this on multiple occasions

I am highly disappointed in your veiled partisan approach

You are correct that Project 2025 has been disavowed by both presidential campaigns. But it’s helpful to understand the implications of a policy proposal that is likely to remain alive regardless of results of the upcoming election. This post is about policy, not politics.

Project 2025 was developed by the same right wing group that has given us the current Supreme Court and which hopes to see a convicted felon and sex offender returned to the White House. They are the same conservatives who've tried to privatize Social Security and Medicare since those programs inceptions. It is well known and is a reality, not a scare tactic.

Judith

I could have placed your name in the legal proceedings and they would have convicted you as well.

This was a sham and will be overturned shortly .

How will you respond then.

As far as sex offender, how do you convict someone when the complainant dosent even know when and where the actual assault even occurred.

NY is trash and would do anything to convicted him

Read the court documents

Apparently some have lost faith in our jury system in which both the prosecution and defense voir dire the prospective jurors.

Trump is a creature of NY, so if NY is trash...

Bad faith, bad conduct, and felonies are being so normalized by the right wing that they may soon become absolute requirements of our nominees for POTUS. Sad state of affairs.

There will be no healthcare reform by the right wing because the investor class is assured of dividends with no risk.

Some providers are going full circle and are denying part c plans in their facilities. That may help in the fight for expanded & improved Medicare for all.

This is very true for Skilled facilities who are not renewing contracts with many MA plans (which are the Part C plans) and seniors with these plans can’t get the skilled care they need. Traditional Medicare needs to cover at 100% so seniors can switch over to Traditional Medicare without needing a secondary plan.

Isn't it true that think tanks on all sides of politics generate concept and strategy recommendations? Some good and some bad. Some common sense and some controversial? Global Progress Action is an initiative of the far left Center for American Progress Action Fund which has placed more than 50 individuals in the current administration. Their can be a lot said about their concepts and strategies as well - good and bad. Bottom line is that think tanks are just that and while they may have some influence and have the potential to inform policy decisions, ultimately those policies have to go through processes designed to ultimately protect US citizens. One thing for certain is that there will be numerous opinions both in support of and denouncing these strategies. For me I try to look at the forest through the trees by following the money. As long as large corporations are allowed to financially support politicians there will be favors so I look to see who is contributing to these think tanks and to political parties. If they are fast food, processed food, med device and pharma (especially pharma) companies that is a significant red flag to me. BUT - this is America and you are free, at least for now, to consider all perspectives and come to your own conclusion. One thing is for sure - our healthcare system is broken and something needs to be done.

Several people here are focused on separating Project 2025 from former president Trump, yet nothing in Wendell’s post draws a connection that people are trying to refute.

One would hope that those Americans who are Trump supporters would read this article and stop deluding themselves that Trump has the American People‘s interests in mind, which Project 2025 obviously falls short of even an F+ grade for innovation and contemptuously ignoring the reality of what Medicare (dis)Advantage is doing to Americans. Trump believe if we all died then there would be more funds for his businesses. He doesn’t give a darn about people’s lives and the dignity of the American People. The cavalier and ignorance that Trump supports the collapse of the USA, not its future growth in the 21st Century. Canada is looking better every day.

Let me ask you - should Kamala be condemned for what liberal think tanks publish? You have been scared into believing that this is Trump's platform. If you are truly interested in enlightening yourself visit https://www.donaldjtrump.com/platform/ and you will learn that his platform is Agenda 47. You may still disagree with these concepts but at least your opinion will be based in fact and not propaganda. That is if you are not simply pushing your agenda and dislike for the man. Personally, since government has been proven to lie and mis-lead US citizens over and over I look at everything and seek to understand not only where that narrative comes from but also who is promoting that narrative. When I look past the noise I may not like Trump's personality but his policies worked in my opinion. I don't think either candidate is great but it is all we have to choose from. At least for me I would like 4 more years of my life when Trump was president over the four years of this administration. But that is my opinion and you are free, at least for now, to have your own opinion and that is what makes this country great. Be well.
