It's disturbing to me that people make oodles of money, with no conscience, and then turn around and bash the industry where their pensions / retirement funds are coming from. What about the millions of people that you harmed while doing your old job? HOURS and HOURS begging insurance companies and PBMs to do their jobs. When in reality they just hope we're going to go away and die so they don't have to pay out.

I feel the same as you, but I am glad he is bringing it to light. These companies don’t care about people period. Only Someone like an ex-employee can show what is behind these curtains. With so much company money, the company can just pay him to shut him up too.

The “Good Dr” could redeem himself by going to lawmakers and help patients navigate or defeat the PBM. But it disturbs me he was a physician who was participating in making more money than helping patients. “First do no harm” was his oath and I find his actions deplorable! May God have mercy on your soul for the people you hurt during your quest for money and power to be the best PBM of them all.

What is the rest of the story? Is this middle-man process by such companies as Express Scripts still ongoing? What progress did the Doctor make on stopping the maiming and murder of patients because of the cost of pharmaceuticals? Did the Doctor bring this scam to the attention of government authorities?

PBMs are a scourge on the healthcare system and they harm the public. So much so that they are being investigated by the FTC.

Yes, Mary. It’s still going on. But now we (Insurance advisors) have options to use PBMs that return the rebates he talks about to group health plans and charge a flat dispensing fee to the health plan that’s disclosed up front. Unfortunately, very few of us take the considerable time and effort to understand these schemes and provide fair and reasonable alternatives to employers that sponsor group health plans.
