It's funny, marketing methods for everyone else always seem towards "what can we do For the public."

That doesn't seem to apply in healthcare.

Maybe because the public has no choice but to need them.

juju's avatar

Actually, we do have a choice, but it's one very, very few people are interested in: don't have health insurance and don't go to doctors.

Maria's avatar

That's a fantasy choice. Accidents happen.

United healthcare should not underestimate the power of nuns. Remember, they are by definition women who don’t need men. Be afraid.

“AARP and UnitedHealthcare Hit With Class Action Over Alleged Wrongful Medicare Supplement Claim Denials”

By

March 9, 2026

A new class action lawsuit claims AARP and UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company fraudulently sell paid AARP memberships and Medicare supplement plans that promise to cover care Medicare does not pay for — while intending to deny reimbursement claims. Plaintiff John Sacchi filed the complaint in New Jersey federal court, alleging the companies have systematically denied valid claims using a condition that does not appear anywhere in the actual policy documents. No settlement has been announced. The case is in active litigation.

AARP has been owned by UnitedHealth for decades!

Yep! You don’t want to mess with nuns. I should know. I had to dodge them for twelve years in school. lol!

Seriously, it is so incredibly frustrating that shareholders have to sue in court in order to find out what a corporation does with their investment money. United Healthcare should be responsible to them and to all the people that they supposedly insure.

I say, raise a glass of wine to Sister Mary Jessica. She was a tough cookie, but she was one of the best teachers that I ever had.

"But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced their hearts with many pangs. But as for you, man of God, shun all this; aim at righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the presence of God who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ;"

- 1 Timothy 6:9-14

UnitedHealth done FA’d and FO’d. I still have psychological scars from my childhood experiences with Catholic nuns. Even a corporate behemoth is cooked if the nuns are aiming their sights on them.
